Informational Festival

ANGF was held its first Annual Informational Festival August 6 through August 9, 2009 co-hosted by the Greater Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GAHCC) of Austin, Texas. The Launching Event and Informational Festival were led by the Executive Board collectively known as the Committee Chair and the current Regional Representatives.

The purpose of this event is to provide a folkloristas the opportunity
to work with ANGF in their area. If you are interested in bringing the ANGF Informational Festival to your home town, contact ANGF and we will send you a packet of information on how to organize and market the event in conjunction with your local entities such as Chamber of Commerce, City and local vendors.

CLASS OPTIONS:
Desarrollo: Designed for experienced dancers ages 8 – 12 and dance instructors;
Information and movement instruction of a variety of folklórico dances

Técnica and Ballet: Designed for teachers and students who want to learn how to strengthen their movement abilities, clean up their footwork, style and endurance.

Intensive (Intermediate/Advanced): Designed for experienced dancers/folkloristas who are eager to learn the history, structure and culturally contributions that give life to the dances taught. The movement portion of the class will be intense and quick.

Masters Class (Advanced): Designed for experienced directors/dancers/folkloristas interested in learning at a higher level and pace.

Networking: ANGF has the opportunity to network with the local groups that register for the Informational holds and answer question as well as makes announcements relevant to the Folklorico industry.

Lecture: 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Recital: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
